Our leadership

The Hawaii District Board consists of five members, Superintendent, Secretary/Treasurer and three (3) Presbyter's-at-Large.  This leadership team is charged with the oversight of all ministers, churches, daughter churches and preaching points.  Currently there are sixteen established churches, several daughter churches and preaching points.  The district board works in tandem with the North American/Hawaii Committee to facilitate their church growth strategy, on-going minister training and the advancement of God's calling in those aspiring to the ministry.

District Superintendent

Richard McGriffin. The McGriffin's came to the islands in 1992, assisting W. E. Scott at Calvary UPC.  After serving in the capacity they became Rex Robertson's assistant pastor at New Life UPC, serving until December of 1996.  The McGriffin's were appointed as UPCI Missionaries to Austria & Germany, returning to the islands in September of 2001.  Richard and JoAnn were elected pastor of New Life UPC, Honolulu in August 2002 and Superintendent of the Hawaii District in October of the same year.  They continue to serve in that capacity.

Kerry Wasson/Secretary

Kerry and his wife Judie have been residents of the islands and actively involved in apostolic ministry for over 30 years pioneering the Abundant Life UPC in 1993.  Their involvement in the Hawaii District is far reaching.  They have ministered in areas of Home Missions, Ladies Ministries, District Prayer Ministry and many others.  Kerry has served as the district secretary treasurer since 2008.

Michael Loscalzo/Presbyter

After pioneering the Pentecostals of Waianae, Oahu in 1993, Michael and Theresa have served as Home Missions Director, Youth President and Presbyter.
